Daniel was not just a son, a brother, a cousin or grandson. He was a hero. One fateful morning in October, about a year ago, Daniel met an untimely death. As he was out and about with his girlfriend in the vicinity of Kloof Street, he heard screams from two young women. He left his girlfriend and the comfort of safety to assist the terror stricken women. He then continued on to pursue their assailant. Unfortunately, their assailant turned murderer as he stabbed Daniel and left him mortally wounded. Daniel was only 25.
The shock and sense of loss was and still is unfathomable.
